HTML5 may have derailed XHTML, but that doesn’t mean that XML still isn't used. Many web developers and computer programmers use XML all the time for structured content. Content management systems in particular, often use XML to keep the content in a portable format that can be used by many different systems. And if you syndicate your site using RSS you are already using XML.

(XML) is a markup language that defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. It is defined in the XML 1.0 Specification produced by the W3C, and several other related specifications, all gratis open standards. Many application programming interfaces (APIs) have been developed for software developers to use to process XML data, and several schema systems exist to aid in the definition of XML-based languages.it has 2 version.tag, element, attribute are the main key.schema is also used in this.A newer schema language, described by the W3C as the successor of DTD, is XML Schema, often referred to by the initialize for XML Schema instances, (XML Schema Definition). XSD are far more powerful than DTD in describing XML languages.seo next web design can help you.web design firm seonext can help you..

This is the list of Frequently-Asked Questions about the Extensible Markup Language (XML). It has answers to most of the common questions people ask about XML. If you are seeking answers to questions about related areas such as HTML, SGML, CGI scripts, PHP, JSP, Java, databases, or penguins, you may find some pointers, but you should probably look elsewhere as well.

    XML can be characterized as-
    a. Extensible Markup Language.
    b. A markup language much like HTML.
    c. It was designed to carry data, not to display data.
    e. XML tags are not predefined. You must define your own tags.
    f. It is designed to be self-descriptive.
    g. XML is a W3C Recommendation.
XML documents consist entirely of characters from the Unicode repertoire. Except for a small number of specifically excluded control characters, any character defined by Unicode may appear within the content of an XML document.XML includes facilities for identifying the encoding of the Unicode characters that make up the document, and for expressing characters that, for one reason or another, cannot be used directly.

XML is stands for Extensible Markup Languag, very flexible text format derived from SGML (ISO 8879). Originally designed to meet the challenges of large-scale electronic publishing, XML is also playing an increasingly important role in the exchange of a wide variety of data on the Web and elsewhere.

XML transmits metadata for SDTM, SEND and ADaM datasets; it is the metadata file sent with every study in each submission, which tells the FDA what datasets, variables, controlled terms, and other specified metadata were used.

XML stands for Extensible Markup Language and it is used to define documents with a standard format that can be read by any XML-compatible application. The language can be used with HTML pages, but XML itself is not a markup language.
