    Hello Everyone,

If you are reading this, then you are interested in finding ways to improve your rank on the Search Engine Results Page (SERP). For those who need a little clarification, the Search Engine Results Page is generally the page you are taken to when you "query" a search engine and it displays a number of results.

Although Google keyword tools will tell you the most searched keywords, the fact remains that Google's algorithms no longer look directly at keywords anymore.

Too many people were either using keywords that had nothing to do with their subject or embedding (stuffing) keywords into their website code, and using black hat techniques in order to hide those "stuffed" keywords from the end user.

You should take a look at optimising your title tags, description tags, website content and other tags, (such as alt tags and meta tags) as by optimising these, you are increasing your chance of an improved rank on on a Search Engine Result Page for your keywords.

N: Feel free to add this this by replying to the thread; however do not link to your own website, spam or write something unhelpful or already covered.

    Regards,
    Michael James Swan

    What is SERP ??
SERP, short for "Search Engine Results Page", is the listing of results on search engines in relation to a query using one or more keywords that a user has entered. The pages of results that you will see are the SERPs.

    Why are SERPs important ??
Whether or not you think that SERPs are important is up to you. If you have a website however, and would like it do well, it is the positioning of your website in the SERPs that should be of prime concern to you. Simply put - if a user can't find your site, how will they ever visit your site ?

How can I check my SERP Rank ??
Simple - using the form on the right, simply enter the URL of your website, as well as the keyword(s) that you would like to check your positioning for.

How many keywords can I check for ??
You can enter as many as you want. However, in order to get a better picture of how your site performs, it is best to enter 1-2 keywords, or those that as a user, you would enter if searching for a site like your own.

How can I improve my SERP Ranking ??
Search Engine Optimization ( SEO ) is an extremely important factor of the success of any website. There are a large number of methods that a webmaster can increase the SERP Ranking of their websites, such as building backlinks, on-page SEO Techniques, and many others.

Improving SEO SERPS is Hard - Generating a better search engine optimization ranking for competitive keywords is often as complicated as it is profitable.
Buying Better Paid SERP Position Can Be Expensive - Meanwhile, consider the fact that in paid search you are literally being charged more money for higher SERP positions.
So getting proper placement on search results pages is crucial, but the key question remains:How Do I Improve Google SERP Rankings (Wisely)? If you're like, well, everyone, you have a limited amount of resources. Limited copywriting RAM, a finite amount of SEO expertise, and a PPC budget with a ceiling. As a result, you have to answer two key questions:

Which SERPS do I improve? What keywords should you be dedicating your time to ranking for, and which keywords should you be buying?
How do I do this? How do you rank for the keywords you want to rank for, and how do you pay less for the positions you want in paid search?
How to Improve Your Search Engine Ranking Page PositionsImproving your SERP position can be done in a few (often not so easy) steps:

Research Keywords - You first need to discover search engine keywords that will drive traffic AND actual business.
Organize (Group) the Keywords - You then have to create a logical hierarchy for these keywords; you need an effective information architecture for SEO, and you need to create tight Ad Groups and well-organized ad campaigns for PPC.
Manage Your SEO Workflow - You need to be able to determine which areas will give you the best return on your time and resource investments; ensure you're not spending months building out an SEO campaign to a set of keywords that won't convert for you and your business.
Manage Your PPC Workflow - This works in much the same way that SEO workflow does: you need to prioritize which Ad Groups and campaigns will be worth the effort of writing ad creative and developing landing pages for.
Act On the Analytics - You then need to do something with all this keyword data and prioritization: you need to write the Web copy, create the ad campaigns, actually achieve the SERP positions you were after.
Observe the Results, & Repeat - Finally, you need to develop processes for iteratively improving upon the results you've generated. You need to automate certain aspects of your campaigns, and ensure that you are continually having new keywords researched, workflow dynamically suggested, and that you are equipped with the tools to perpetually build on this initial "SERP improvement to-do list".

There are two principle parts of online networking. The main is your profiles on these social destinations, and the second is the means by which frequently you have the capacity get your site specified on the web.

Web crawlers like Google are beginning to consider votes from social destinations. Right now, in Google's Webmaster Tools you can perceive what number of individuals voted +1 for your site and how its influencing your activity.
