I have equally seen numerous answers, some of which are great tips to get started and other are just attempts for the author to gain traffic to their own site, which is ok...sometimes. So, I am first going to make a bold statement and declare myself as an SEO expert (I would be more than happy to back up this claim). Then I am going to creating the post below, in which you will find out how to get more traffic, improve your rankings, and quit wasting your time!

The reason I have elected to close comments is because of the outrageous amount of spammers that will completely flood the CMS with junk comments. I am currently looking for a comment moderating program that will actually filter out the junk. I do agree that interacting is key and that is why I have offered to answer questions here and several other places as well.

I fully understand with the spammers - they have got to be the biggest pain in the butts. I use akismet and GASP, but there's always the ones which get through. I've been getting spam messages via my contact form of late which is becoming very annoying. Something to scratch the head over and figure something out.

 

I know what you mean, even with the Captcha feature spammers are now using the contact forms as well!
