    First and foremost, thanks for the link. Very informative.

    Secondly, when you think about it, that is one of the main keys to successful marketing. The methods of the past worked for them and the tools they had then. Now, we are adding our creativeness and our own tools to construct methods that fit our time. However, the twist is figuring out how to mix and match the two for an exponential result.

    That's great. You can't sell cupcakes with word of mouth alone. I see a lot of emerging pastry shops in my district promote their offerings through various social media sites and partnering with other shops (e.g. 10% discount on cupcake box for anyone who tries to buy a dress at this particular store).

    Old article but still applies ... whenever you have the opportunity to give something away, if it is good quality, customers will pay next time and probably over and over.

    This applies to online product as well ... the problem most individuals have is coming up with something that is good enough to bring the prospect back after they have grabbed the lead.

    The old-school print method is also under-rated by many. Dan Kennedy and his No BS Marketing series of books give plenty of ideas as to how to grow whatever you are selling online,offline or preferably both.

    Thank you for sharing this relevant article. I absolutely agree. Blending the old method with a new one is certainly an effective way of business marketing. Each method has its pros and cons, but combining them together might be more successful.
