Why my ranks went down?

We have a handmade jewelry website; http://www.copperreflections.com/ We had been doing really well with keyword rankings, mostly on the first page for over a year. Since feb. 6, we disappeared so much that we can not even find it. Do you have an idea what we did wrong? We will appreciate your opinion.

 

Google has been changing their algorithm on a continuous basis which is affecting the page rank on a lot of sites. It looks like you html is a little dated. You'll need to do a little research to catch up on the updates or if you have a designer/developer you'll need to have him update it for you.

 

I am sure if this has happened to you then it has just one cause,Check all your links you have exchanged,One of those links is black listed by google,This makes your site disappeared,This is a penalty from Google,I did the same mistake with one of my website and my website went on 100th page from 2nd...When ever you exchange links ,you must have to be careful...This is my doubt only actual cause may be something else,Check this out first-Viagra links are bad,adult links are bad even if they have good pr,farmlinks are bad!!

 

Vic may well be right. If you have poor back links it could cause problems.

I personally think you need to redesign your site. It could really be a lot better and I don't see and heading tags <h1></h1> etc. I may have missed them as there's a lot of html there that looks like it was hand written.

 

As a regular website, the change of algorithm can not go down suddenly, just check out your backlinks or exchange links with your site.

 

I don't think that's completely accurate. Google updates have affected a lot of websites. that was their intent. to weed out a lot of poor sites including link farms, gateway sites etc.

 

Now google panda chenge new algorithm so it was found some mistake so keyword ranking is down

 

Yes, u are right, google will weed out a lot of websites after each updates its algorithm. So we need to check out our link and website content, if the contents on our site are poor or just copy from other sites, that will Causes Very Bad Influence to goole. So anyways, the keywords rank is a very complicated system, just don't do something stupid to google, he is intelligent now.

 

Now its much more than just the ,inks for ranking good in Serps.You should check your website for duplicate content, links exchanged from irrelevant websites etc.

 

what i have noticed recently is that my site visitors have decreased alot but ranking is going up and that is because my site is news and its has much indexed pages which makes my site higher rank, it depends on header as website magick said and number of indexed pages, the more website has pages the more google spider spreads on site and the more you get indexed.

also don't forget to put google and bing webmaster codes on ur site to get indexed

 

Website magick i need ur help, am asked to upload bing webmaster text in my wordpress site in order to get indexed by bing and yahoo , where do i upload that text file

 

i visited ur site plz read what i said down, plus try updating ur site links as they are same due to same products

Google has been updated their algorithm may your site going to penalized by search engine due to duplicate content. so check Google guidelines.

 

Even the rankings for my website has gone down.
All these years we were hanging on at around PR 4. Its now dropped down to 2.

Also, I just checked eForum's PR is also just 1
How do we increase the PR for eForum and SoftNEP, any suggestion that would really work?

 

eForum's rank is 1 because it's only existed since November 2011. It should rise steadily over the year, but if you have any suggestions we'd be glad to hear them.

There may be lots of reason behinds the ranking down. AS we assume some of the major causes of ranking downfalls. May be you websites designs not so attractive, May be find copied content. Of it may be possible you may be doing spamming seo activities. There may be possible that You websites is ideal for long times. No additions of new content or pages, check is there any broken links in websites. Or you may added Excessive Advantages on your websites. Please check that your websites may fulfill the criteria of the Google Panda Algorithm updates. Hope the above mentions tips will help your websites to overcome for ranking downfalls.
