How do I get more traffic to my site?

It's takes time. One thing i have learned with blogging is original content works. Using Twitter and facebook is good. Use your blog name in every post so people can get use to who you are and what your talking about. Create post daily that is geared towards your audience. Facebook to me is alot better because you can target more in one shot. As with Twitter you have to get people to follow you to get your point across. In my blog i have included a ton of free resources that may help. When you get a chance check into it.

As you know google dont understand any flash or java script or anything. Google only want good keywords and more and more back links. If your site has good and strong back links you will get better rank in google. You can check on of site of mine and see how many back links are there and you will find best keywords and strong links in it.

SMO is really effective option for you.The 'likes' and tweeter follower you're getting from facebook and tweeter is counting by Google and Bing as 'social signal'. Which means how much your site is getting response from social media.

Google has not used "keywords" in determining their search rankings for some time now.
 
As has been mentioned by many contributors in this thread, getting traffic to your blog takes time (patience is a virtue) and initiative.

Writing great content will certainly help as well as posting your articles on other popular music forums for other readers to view. Posting your article on social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Google+) will also help. Make sure you setup an RSS feed on your blog, so readers can subscribe and easily see when you post new articles. An easy way to get a quick burst of traffic is through paid traffic services from online marketing companies - look for ones that provide targeting options, its no use getting people to your blog that aren't actually interested in music.

Ultimately, if you write good content then people will continue to come back.
 
Traffic is an odd thing to just campaign for. When I consult a client, we do talk about traffic numbers... but what do those numbers mean? If you are getting great surges in visits, but they bounce out in less than 10 seconds, that's the same or possibly worse than not getting the visit in the first place. Here is a quick checklist in my office:
  • Good original content - on self hosted URL
  • Consistently posted content (dead sites can't grow)
  • Posting the content to relevant lists on Twitter, Facebook and Sometimes Craigslist (Local stuff)
  • Always use video when possible - readers dig it
  • If there is decent video - also tie in YouTube friending strategies
  • Tie Blog to Social Media channels
  • Harvest Lists to perform e-blasts targeted at re-visiting site.
As stated above... be patient. Look for conversions if you're selling something... not just the hits.

I had never heard of them before. The website looks looks a Godaddy reseller template. Is this your Company or do you have a website hosted by them?
 
Yes well as a GoDaddy reseller the support is actually Godaddy. While Godaddy's support is good their hosting sux. They have the worst control panel and they are known for down time and over loaded servers.

To each his own though, :D
