    # Join every social network and post the useful contents along with links. Engage people in the contents.
    # Build backlinks according to niche.
    # On page SEO is very important for this.
    # Create unique contents and post on various article websites - Directories.
    # Use press release.

do these and I'm sure you will have good amount of traffic.

I'd go with Devashish's ideas plus adding fresh content as often as you can manage it.

I'd also add that the content needs to be good to start with (even if that slows down getting lots of content live) so people will be happy to come back and hopefully tell others about your site.

Sign up to Google webmaster and provide a sitemap, then update it every so often to make sure Google is aware of your site.

I think the best way to advertise commerce sites is still by social sites because that way you can get visible comments and followers so more and more people will come to trust you as your reputation builds up. Just try and create more promotions and online events or gimmicks so that you will get your store noticed.

There are a lot of things that you can try, but unfortunately, traffic doesn't usually come overnight. You can try SEO, social sites, like YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for starters. Every niche will be different, but I'm not sure which avenue would be best for your niche. In regards to forum marketing, that takes time too. You need to build up seniority on a forum, before expecting people to visit your link.

Have you considered holding a competition? You could give every Facebook "Like" or Twitter follow/retweet an entry into draw to win something from your store. I would definitely expand your marketing efforts into social media though - it's free and has a potential audience of millions.

I agree with this one. Do social media marketing as a lot of people are on there now. Good luck with that! (y)

You should feature product reviews on your e-commerce site. The most common type of search consumers make online is the name of a product or type of product and the word 'review'. A top keyword used in searches could be, for example: "review/s of Samsung Galaxy phone", "Galaxy cell phone review" or "cell phone reviews". If your site was selling that product, you would need to have some reviews on your site with those keywords.
