The Sandbox (Sandboxing or the sandbox effect or the Google penalty) is a name given to an observation of the way Google ranks web pages in its index. It is the subject of much debate, its existence has been written about. Since 2004 but not confirmed, with several statements to the contrary.

The Google Sandbox Effect is associated with newly registered domains, and has never been confirmed by Google (many believe that it does not actually exist as a policy but is simply an effect of the Algorithm that Google uses to calculate a ranking for a website).

Sand box is a Google conceptual methodology which will store the baby website until it verify by Google. Sites in the sand box won’t crawl or index by Google.

The sandbox effect, links which may normally be weighted by Google s ranking algorithm, not least improving the position of a webpage in Google's index, may be subjected to filtering to prevent their having a full impact.

Google sandbox is a theory amongst webmasters that websites’ ranking potential is suppressed for new sites until they achieve a specify threshold of credibility or “Trust” according to algorithmic criteria. Before determining if a website has been put in the Sandbox you need to find out if the entire site was dropped from Google or if it has just been ranked down for certain keyword phrases.
