So on I went, looking up the most suitable social media dating, just advertising my self and throwing my self in the gauntlet of online dating. I did my research and it seemed like the cool thing to do was, at 23 years old to go on OkCupid.[IMG]

OkCupid, Yes I have heard about this earlier. I often like to visit such websites but I don't think it can help you to find perfect partners because many of account here are fake, don't you think so?

With how technology driven this generation is these days I would say yes. I have been on dating sites and even meet the last two guys that I dated on Facebook. I was on dating sites in my early to mid twenties so yes I think it is perfectly alright.

I believe if you are dating in your 20s why not try online? Social media is getting bigger and it is becoming less weird to do that sort of thing. Go for it!

I don't think it's that much of a bad idea. That's the age that is the best time to experiment so I'd say it's even the best time to do so. I don't think online dating is that much different from traditional dating nowadays anyway. The connotations of it are far different now than they were just a decade ago.

You might want to use more reputable sites like Eharmony, but yes it's acceptable. My sister does it all the time and so do many of my friends.

Yes and No. There is no easy answer and it depends on your personality and your expectancy. Sites like OKcupid and Eharmony are well known around the world and are the best bet in order to create a virtual profile. Learning to "sell yourself" is a big step in that direction, meaning that you need to know and expose your best qualities. Online dating is pretty much a big or hit based on your profile. Think about it this way: You are selling a product, make people buy it ! The product is you.

I, for one, have spend 3 years with a girl I met online in a matching site. Currently 22 but we parted ways due to differences.

One problem with online dating is that it's too convenient, which means that it can be really hard and competitive, especially if you're a guy. I tried Pof a few years ago and most of the girls that I was speaking with were getting tons of messages from guys, daily.

Online dating is pretty much the norm these days. You'll be fine as long as you remember the basic safety rules like not exchanging personal information at first, meeting in a public place and just generally keeping your wits about you.

I did try it a few times as I stated before and it can be pretty scary at first. Meeting with a complete stranger but then, it's a nice experience which will get you out of your comfort zone.

I have had various people I know meet friends on various online dating sites - but honestly it is just not for me. I don't like the idea of meeting someone online. People lie all the time - no one is who they say they are -- and on top of liars there are the psychos - just my luck I would find one of those.

Online dating sure has it's ups and downs. It's not for everyone, that's for sure. But I am not against it, as a fellow 22 year old male. I met a lot of girls online. And cute ones as well.

Yes! Many people are always on the Internet anyway. Why not use it to your advantage. I found my husband while playing on the Internet and I was in my 20's. It was the best thing I ever did. I now have a great family including a set of twin girls and a teenage girl. Go out there, date and find your true love.

Online dating hasn't an age limit. Some people just feel more comfortable meeting people online while other prefer to meet them in a club or something like that. Even if it would be considered not-right, what would stop you ;)

Why not? I think online-dating sites are a good way to meet new people and mingle with them. Who knows, maybe you'll find the right one there? (y)
