There are many blogs who posts articles regarding Google updates, usually I follow those blogs and update my knowledge in Google algorithm updates. I found this information in various SEO blogs like searchengineland, seroundtable etc. but not I myself assumed and posted in this thread. I would suggest you to go through such blogs to get updated about Google updates.

As far as I know, there will not be one, at least not one that we will know about, Google will keep it there own little secret. I think the last one was in December?

Correct. PR will probably no longer get updated. It's quite simple actually: Google has seen that PR is being used to sell links. To this day, some are still falling for "High PR" links. I'm not saying they don't work, because some are actually really powerful. But since we now have no way of knowing the actual PR of a site, we have to look into other metrics. Right now, the most popular are DA/PA by Moz and TF/CF by Majestic.

I think that the fact that nobody knows when the next PR update will be speaks volumes. I know there are a lot of people who have said that PR is no longer relevant and I honestly am in that same camp myself. Google seems to be putting more emphasis on other things lately.

This will cause sellers to find other ways to take advantage of people who are new to the scene. I remember catching so many sellers advertising high-pr links, when in fact, they were only selling links from a high-pr domains on a new page, and people think that they are getting PR 9 link.

As long as the Internet exists and new people go online, trying to make money, there will be someone out there trying to take advantage of them. I don't think Google, or anyone else for that matter, is going to be able to put an end to it regardless of how hard they may try. It's a sad but true state of affairs.

Of course. This cycle may never end, unless everybody becomes aware that these metrics can be easily manipulated. Personally, I don't look at Moz metrics. I have found TF/CF to be more reliable metrics to use. But this doesn't mean I always go for high TF/CF sites. People like abiding by certain numbers for whatever reason. Think about keyword density, number of words, etc. Same with these metrics.
